ScholarshipsSTUDENT JOBS・OPENING ACCOUNTS・SCHOLARSHIPS Information concerning tutoring jobs including at home and at one-on-one cram schools, and student jobs on campus will be available through MyWaseda. To open an account, in principle, you will need your passport, Residence Card, a telephone number within Japan, student ID, “inkan”seal (rubber-faced seals are not accepted), etc. The required documents may vary depending on the bank. For specific details, please carefully review the information provided by the financial institution you wish to open an account. Please go to a financial institution (such as a bank) to open an account after you have finished resident registration at your city or ward office. Once you have opened an account, you will need to login to MyWaseda and register an account in your own name, as a “Personal Account” in the Student Financial Institution Information section. Please confirm the account holder’s name is registered correctly.※ You may not be able to open an account if you have been in Japan for less than six months. Please consult with your undergraduate/graduate school office if you have any difficulty opening an account. There are 3 categories of scholarships for international students: 1. Waseda University Scholarships (Waseda University scholarship system), 2. External Scholarships with University Recommendation (screening by Waseda University)—you may only apply for scholarships posted by your school/graduate school, p.513.
