Resident Registration Foreign nationals planning to stay for a medium to long term are required to go to the municipal office and register their address. Those who were issued a residence card at the port of entry: please bring your residence card and register your Japanese address at the municipal office of your area within 14 days after your place of residence is confirmed.  The procedures of registration and necessary documents differ depending on the municipal office of your area. Please confirm with the nearest municipal office. If you change your address, you are required to submit the moving-out notification and the moving-in notification.
