Outbound Study Abroad StudentsCENTER FOR INTERNATIONALEDUCATION The Center for International Education (CIE) supports incoming international students, as well as sends Waseda students abroad through various exchange programs based on agreements with universities around the world. The CIE helps international students studying at Waseda University understand education and culture in their new environment, and assists in improving studying and living conditions in Japan. Please feel free to contact the CIE office if you have questions or concerns. The office is located on the 4th floor of building 22 on the main Waseda campus. Under arrangements with more than 700 University across 105 countries and regions around the world, around 7,000 international students—including exchange students and government or privately-financed students—are currently studying at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as at the Center for Japanese Language (As of 2022). The CIE offers various programs such as ①Exchange programs among affiliated universities (EX), ② Customized Study Programs (CS), ③Double Degree Programs (DD), and ④ Short-term Study Abroad programs mainly in the summer and spring. ▍32
