The Tsubouchi Memorial Theatre Museum The Waseda Portal Office provides various services, including various application procedures and consultation services, mainly for current students. It also functions as a general point of contact and provides temporary consultation for all kinds of inquiries on campus. Another feature is that its opening hours are longer than those of the various faculty offices and other contact points. Please check the QR code link for the Open Days Calendar and use the service at your convenience.|URL| https://www.waseda.jp/inst/wpo/en Established in 1928, this museum was dedicated to Dr. Shoyo Tsubouchi on his seventieth birthday to commemorate his complete translation of the Shakespeare corpus. The museum, modeled on The Fortune Theatre of 16th century England, is a theatrical reference material itself. In order to display to the public our precious collections that total over one million pieces, we hold planned exhibitions and relevant events as well as permanent exhibitions that allow everyone to take in an extensive view of the history of theater. In addition, as a museum within an educational institution, we offer books and audiovisual reference materials in the library and the audiovisual booth which is open to both the public and students.
